Where is the venue?

Plymouth’s Winter Wonderland is being held in Central Park, Plymouth, PL2 3DG.

When is the event?

The 2024 Plymouth’s Winter Wonderland event opens on Friday 15th November and will be running until 1st January 2024 (closed on Christmas Day)

What are the opening times?

Plymouth’s Winter Wonderland runs from Friday 15th November till Wednesday 1st January 2024

Monday to Thursday: 3.30pm – 9pm
Fridays:  3.30pm – 10pm
Saturdays: 12pm – 10pm
Sundays: 12pm – 8.30pm
22nd – 24th December: 12pm – 10pm
Christmas Day: CLOSED
Boxing Day: CLOSED
27th-29th December: 12pm – 10pm
30th December: 1pm – 10pm
31st December: 12pm – 6pm
1st January: 12pm – 8pm

Do I have to book to come in?

There are no bookings for general admission, you simply pay £1 per person on arrival. Cash & card accepted. 

Is there a charge to come in?

Yes, entry is £1 per person, payable on the gate by cash or card.

What does my ticket include?

Each ticket allows you to enter Plymouth’s Winter Wonderland where you can admire the decorations and props, and soak up the festive atmosphere. Please note that activities such as Ice Skating, Santa’s Enchanted Forest Grotto, Music nights and rides will carry an additional charge. General entry is £1 per person, payable on the gate by cash or card.

Can I bring my dog?

No, sorry non assistance dogs are not allowed on site, however, assistance dogs are allowed, but please be mindful of noise levels and crowd density, especially within the Big Top Tent.

What entertainment do you have on?

How much time do I get for my visit?

Visits onto the site are uncapped, you may stay as long as you like. 

Can I pay by card/cash?

Both cash & card payments are welcome throughout the site, including rides. 

Can I bring food and drinks?

No food and drinks will be allowed to be brought in. You are welcome to bring baby food and formula milk to the event. Please let our security know while going through the bag search.

There is a large variety of food and drinks available to purchase on site from our local food vendors.

If you have any medical conditions or special dietry requirements, please message us on social media.

Noise Complaints?

We understand that noise can be a concern. We do our best to minimise noise levels. If you have any noise concerns, please contact us promptly at 07482 207286 so we can address them.

Ice Skating Tickets

Can I get a refund?

We do not offer refunds on our tickets.

Cancellations by us

If in the event of bad weather we are forced to close the site for your safety, a notice will be posted on this website and our Facebook page. It will include details on how to claim a refund for your session. The refund covers the cost of your ice skating session only. Please note that booking fees are non-refundable under any circumstances. The booking fee is a charge applied for using the online platform for securing your session ahead of time. This service is carried out successfully upon completion of the booking and therefore not subject to a refund. 

Can I change my booking date or time slot?

Unfortunately once booked no changes can be made under any circumstances.

Where can I get a ticket?
Do I need to print my ticket?

No, this is not necessary. Showing it to us on your mobile phone screen is absolutely fine. 

I can’t find my ticket.

Your e-ticket would have been sent to you via email after completing the purchase. If you can’t find it, please log in to your Fatsoma account ( fatsoma.com) with the login details created during the purchase. Your ticket will be available to download from ‘Your Orders’ tab. 

Ice Skating General

How long is the Ice Rink session?

Each session is 45 mins. Please arrive in good time to be prepared as there is only a 15min changeover time. 

Do I have to book ahead?

If you want to ensure you’ll be able to ice skating at your preferred session, you must book online as we do often sell out. However, you can also pay on the day but please ensure you arrive early to pay for your session and pick up your skates. 

Are there any ice skating aids available?

Yes, a selection of skating aids will be available for both children and adults. These are free and available on first come first serve basis. 

What's the minimum age for children?

We offer skates in size 25 and up. For the younger skaters, we have skates which mount on top of their shoes with 2 blades either side for more stability. Please note children are not allowed to be carried while on ice. Please read the skaters code of conduct carefully and explain it to your child. Find the additional info here. 

Can kids skate on their own with adult spectating?

Children aged 14 and over are welcome on ice without an adult. However, the adult must remain on site throughout and not leave the Ice Palace. 

What skate sizes do you have?

We offer sizes from 25 (UK Child 8) to size 48 (UK14).

Santa’s Enchanted Forest Grotto

What are the opening times?

Santa’s Enchanted Forest Grotto is open every day:

3.30pm – 6.30pm on weekdays term time

1pm – 6.30pm on weekends and school holidays. 

1pm – 4pm Christmas Eve

How much does it cost?

Prices: Under 3’s: £5 | Over 3’s: £10.50 | Adult: £1

Do you have to book?

There are no bookings for Santa’s Enchanted Forest Grotto, simply turn up at a time that suits you. 

How much time will I get in the Santa’s Enchanted Grotto?

Your meeting with Santa is limited to approx. 5 mins, but we have a magical experience before you go into Santa’s cabin.

Can I take pictures with Santa in the Grotto?

No phones or cameras are permitted to be used for photography with Santa, our in house photographer will take photos which are available to purchase after should you wish. 

Travel & Access

Is there parking on site?

The nearest car park is Milehouse Park and Ride behind the Life Centre. The car park is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. No payment is required for parking at this location.

Is the venue accessible by public transport?

Many of City Bus services stop by Central Park and Life Centre, including 11, 12/12A, 13, 16, 34, 43,  48, 59, 61, 60. For full details and to plan your journey, click here.

Is there disabled access and parking?

Disabled parking is available at Milehouse Park & Ride and accessible facilities will be available on site. Please note, that this event is being held in a park and so with rainfall, the grounds may prove tricky for wheelchair users at times. If you need any assistance during your visit, please speak to one of our stewards.
